Robert Perroud 'Terres Blanches' Beaujolais Villages Chardonnay 2019

Regular price
£37.90
Description
Beaujolais Blanc is 100% Chardonnay and a rare gem in a land known for its reds. An emerging favourite, it delivers elegance and raciness in equal measure. We were delighted that Robert Perroud was able to spare some of his excellent 'Terres Blanches', named after the white clay on which it was grown. Rooted firmly in Beaujolais, Robert still uses the same cellar that his grandfather used, while his family have been winemakers in the region since the French Revolution.
Tasting Notes
Green apples, white blossom and a touch of blanched almond on the nose. The palate, packed with honey cream, apricots and orchard fruits, is underpinned by a stony mineral kick and a savoury, tongue-tingling freshness.
Delicious with white meats, especially roast chicken, it's also a great partner to rich seafood dishes.
