The Lighter Pair

Light, but indulgent

Treat yourself to a lighter drop with this irresistible red and white pair. Featuring a fashionable, refreshing English white alongside a light and joyful, fruity red. Looking to make more careful choices, but still want to revel in life’s luxuries? Herein lies the proof that drinking lighter wines requires no compromise on quality or flavour.

+The English Vine Number 1 Bacchus 2022
White Light 11 Bacchus

An utterly thirst-quenching wine with bags of lime and elderflower cordial on the nose and palate. It’s light and easy-drinking at only 11% alcohol and shows just how the Bacchus grape can shine under English sun.

A wine for anyplace, anytime... and especially the picnic basket, but we really enjoy this with fish and new potatoes, or seasonal asparagus.

+Domaine Julien Chantreau 'Javernand' Chiroubles Beaujolais Cru 2021
Red Light 13 Gamay

A refreshing, light and joyful expression of Gamay, grown on some of the steepest granite slopes in Beaujolais. It has an abundance of pretty peony perfume on the nose and the palate is packed with soft, silky raspberry fruit and low tannins, with a mineral streak on the finish.

An excellent partner to chicken pie, summer salads or just a cold meat and cheese platter. A perfect lunch-time red.
