Description
Hands up who knew that the go-to country nowadays for great value Pinot Noir is.... Germany? Recent warmer summers have ensured a string of excellent vintages for Southern Germany. Family-run winery Karl May makes some of the best and most reliably tasty Pinot we have found anywhere in the world.
Tasting Notes
Pinot can be quite a shy grape, but this one has bags of vibrant cherry and mulberry, and even a little almond. The palate is juicy and bright, with hints of cherry yoghurt.
This would be a great match with duck breast, or smoked meats, as well as going beautifully with white-fleshed fish.
