Description
Ortola is a family-owned Domaine of over 100 hectares who practice the highest standards of care and the best biodynamic practices in the way that they farm their land. They use natural plant remedies to keep their vines healthy, and minimise the use of sulphur in their winemaking. This Languedoc Syrah-dominated blend is a wonderful expression at a very affordable price.

Tasting Notes

An amazingly rich, deep coloured, smoky, earthy southern French red bursting with character and a great deal of rich black fruit. Our friends at Ortola recommend with with a leg of lamb – or some game. Perhaps a good match with the local wild boar, the sworn enemy of the local vignerons.
Victoria Moore - Daily Telegraph: 'a figgy, furry, herby blend of syrah, grenache, carignan and mourvèdre from the Languedoc.'
